Hello everyone – a quick intro to Blech.

It works a lot like HackerNews with a few key differences:

1. You can @mention people, and they will be notified
2. You can follow people on Bletch and see their posts and comments in the following tab.
3. You can restrict the comments on a post so only people you follow on Belch or Twitter can comment freely – everyone else's comments will need to be approved by you in the Comment Requests tab of your profile.
4. The algorithm for the home page doesn't prioritize recency as much

More generally, Bletch tries to use the social graph and reputation of Twitter/X to facilitate better discussions. That's why everyone is forced to use their Twitter username.
